𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿

In 2016 I took my first solo trip to Tenerife (Canary Islands), and little did I know, it was one of the best entrepreneurial lessons I could ever experience.

That year I found my first-ever brand, Cherry Me Strings 🕶️

Traveling solo and running your own business have a lot in common.
Here’s why:

💡 Adaptability is key: when you’re traveling alone, things don’t always go as planned. Flights get delayed, languages create barriers, and sometimes Google Maps leads you to a dead end. As an entrepreneur, the market shifts, clients change, and you must constantly adjust to stay ahead.

🗺️ Decision-making on the spot: there’s no one else to decide where to eat, which route to take, or how to solve an unexpected problem. Running a business is the same: you make strategic decisions daily, often with incomplete information.

🤝 Networking & relationship building: when you’re alone, you naturally connect with locals and other travelers. As an entrepreneur, building relationships with clients, partners, and mentors is essential for growth.

🧘‍♀️ Resilience & self-reliance: some days are lonely. Some are full of unexpected challenges. However solo travelers (and entrepreneurs) know that growth happens outside of comfort zones.

✨ Embracing uncertainty & trusting yourself: whether it’s navigating a new city or launching a new service, uncertainty is part of the journey. The best way forward? Take the first step, trust your instincts, and learn as you go.

𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲. 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗶𝘀, 𝘁𝗼𝗼.

And both will teach you more about yourself than you could ever imagine.
